Announcement: Latin Classes & Dance Community
To all members of the Taylor's University College Dance Club (and the general, dance-loving public):

Our sincerest apologies for the lack of activity coming from our end... Our new committee has been rather busy tying up administrative loose ends and, well, getting through our exams.

November isn't exactly the best time of year for us to be making this announcement, but we'd like to think we're targeting those of you who will still be in Taylor's college next year. Of course, if you happen to be a graduating student and are still interested in attending any of the following, we would be equally glad to have you.

First off, we would like to inform everyone that Latin classes (Latin classes! Yay!) will be starting soon (as soon as we get enough of you to sign up, so act fast)!

For the Latin classes, only a small fee of RM45 a month will be charged! :) You can ask anyone who knows about Latin lessons and they will assure you this is a steal.

This is Latin. For reals you guys.

Do note that this is an exceptionally good bargain because the instructor in question, Mr William Lor, is a highly trained professional teacher who has not only won many competitions but has bred many competitive dancers who have gone on to become champions as well.

His full list of credentials is probably longer than your university application, but suffice to say he's been the South East Asia Professional Latin Champion for four years running, and he's a main choreographer for So You Think You Can Dance Malaysia (you can see his name on the Wikipedia page).

So do let us know if you're interested so we can put your names down! :) We definitely wouldn't want the studio to be overcrowded, but if we get enough responses we could push to have classes in grand style in the MPH.

If you want to learn one of the sexiest styles of dance on the planet (this applies to both men and women), send the following details to taylorsdanceclub@gmail.com:
The subject of your email should be LATIN CLASSES.

Because if it's good enough for Justin Timberlake and Antonio Banderas, it should be good enough for you.

Secondly, the Dance Club would like to expand our dance community! Do feel free to stop by every Tuesday and Friday at the ECA Centre dance studio to take part in the community sessions we'll be setting up!

All the following photographs were taken at our recent mega-event the Taylor's Dance Arena. These are just a few examples of cool pictures you could one day be a part of by coming for our community sessions!

Or maybe you already are in these pictures or have taken cooler ones that is alright we would still love to have you x)

Sins

Our very own club members will be there to teach you any style you want from popping to locking to breakdancing, salsa, jive or even the waltz!

Dua Coopang

No experience will be required as all we really want to do is to spread the joy of dancing - corny as that may sound. You might uncover a hidden talent just waiting to be unleashed ;)

Two Left Feet

Even if you don't really feel like dancing and you're just curious, you can join us in the studio any time. Don't be afraid to push right through that door and approach any of us. We won't bite... Yet ;)

Cookie Monsters

Just a final note, for those of you who don't feel like getting into formal classes yet, coming to the studio anytime is really just a way to make new friends, share knowledge and enjoy the expression of self through dance. No pressure.

Explosion OST

Our official studio times are Tuesday after 3 and Friday after 1, but as you know, we're all having exams and/or holidays now, so you can come whenever you feel like it.

For any inquiries do feel free to send us an email (once again, taylorsdanceclub@gmail.com)!

Or just give us a call at 016-955 4388 (Jun Ian), 017-489 8786 (Ching Yu), or 012-292 3960 (Shevie). We'll be glad to answer your questions anytime.

Do check back out as well to see updates and schedules regarding the Tuesday and Friday dance sessions! ;)
