Update: Dance Arena 09: Euphoria Freebies
Here's an interesting fact that makes another great reason to go for Dance Arena.

Last year's Dance Arena introduced the Ministry of Sound's Euphoria @ Sunway Lagoon Resort to the college scene and birthed an entire generation of clubbers, giving out 400 free passes to check out Guest DJ Jungle Jerry spin at the club that night.

This year's Dance Arena is going to go one better.

This year, every single guest to Dance Arena 09: Best of the Best will receive not one but two passes to the nation's most happening nightspot.

One for Saturday, the 22nd of August, so that the party will go on after the event ends.
ELECTRO BALLROOM, SATURDAY (MAIN ROOM)
For the sophisticated Saturday night party crowd who wants the friendlier side of house. Anticipate anything from the present day favorite Electro to the resurgent Jackin' House sound. Featuring DJ Patrick Oliver.

FLUID, SATURDAY (THE DEQ)
Mash Up is what it's all about. Creating sharp, short mixes from R&B, Rock, Indie, Retro and Funk, absolutely anything that will make the dance floor bounce. Featuring DJ Nesh and DJ Ssense.
And one for Wednesday, the 26th of August, so you can... Well, I'm sure you can figure it out.
MILKSHAKE, WEDNESDAY (MAIN ROOM)
An urban clash of NY, LA, KL and Miami Rap, Krunk, Hip Hop, Baltimore, Reggaeton and Grime. Featuring DJ Nesh and DJ Ssense.

FRISKY? WEDNESDAY (THE DEQ)
The stylish and sexy vocal house originally featured in London's Ministry of Sound. Featuring DJ Patrick Oliver and Victor G.

Update: Dance Arena 09: Registration
Update: Registration for Dance Arena 09: Best Of The Best is now closed. Thank you for your interest!

Good news everybody!

Based on your feedback, we've decided to do away with auditions and let everybody straight into the finals!

Because apparently some people can practice for hours every day yet can't find the time to do a one minute shot. You know who you are.

So anyway, the rules of the game have changed.
Send an email to taylorsdanceclub@gmail.com by the 14th of August with your crew name and each crew member's name, MyKad/NRIC number, school/college (if applicable) and the proof of age for your crew.

Participating crews should check out the rules and regulations for more details.

Download the Rules and Regulations (pdf format)!

Okay, that's it for now!

Update: Dance Arena 09: Guess Watches
Guess what?

Someone's getting lucky on the 22nd of August.

Not just one person, in fact.

And not quite in the way you might think.

Better.

You might have seen these around.

Or not. They're kinda new. But at least you're checking them out now. Wanna know how you could be the proud owner of a gorgeous new Guess timepiece?

They really are stunning.

I mean, I just spent an hour drooling over this 18-page catalog, and I'm not even a watch person.

Oh right. I still owe you an answer.

Buy a ticket for Dance Arena.

Every ticket we sell comes with its own four-digit serial number. The number helps us keep track of ticket sales, and gives you a chance to get lucky lucky lucky lucky.

Our awesome sponsor, Guess Watches, is sponsoring not one, not two, not even four but EIGHT special edition timepieces for the Dance Arena 09 lucky draw.

How sweet is that? For the price of a single ticket, eight chances to walk away with a brand new wristwatch. You'd be crazy not to buy a ticket, even if you can't stand dancing. (What kind of monster can't stand dancing?)

You see that, you other potential sponsors who are dragging your feet you?

This is what companies that support us early on get.

Their own poster and blog post.

Two, in fact.

I'm organizing the event so I get to go for free, but I'm considering buying a ticket just to get my hands on one of these.

So what are the rest of you waiting for?

Disclaimer: We don't actually know which watches we're getting as prizes yet. All images are for promotional purposes only. The images used were taken from the catalog at the Guess Watches website. But you should definitely assume the prizes will be equally or even more awesome.
